Centurion Boats at The Glen Recap

Posted by chadmusselman on August 11, 2008

Kyle Busch showed he hasn’t lost his focus or drive, and came away with the victory at The Glen. A late wreck made it more interesting, but Kyle was too tough.

How did my drivers do?

Chaser: Tony Stewart
Stewart ran up front all day and took home a second place finish. He couldn’t get by Kyle Busch though.

Alternate Chaser: Denny Hamlin
Denny had a very solid 8th place finish and ran solidly as he usually does every race.

Dale Earnhardt Jr
Bad pit strategy may have done in Dale. “I didn’t know what the strategy was.” is what he told the NASCAR Now reporters. Had he and Tony Eury had the right strategy a top 10 finish would have been achievable.

Ron Fellows
Ron ran a good race and came home in 12th. I was thinking he’d challenge for a top 5, but 12th place isn’t too bad.

Dark Horse: Robby Gordon
What a disappointment. I don’t like Robby, but I swallowed my pride and picked him, and he goes out, stinks it up, and finishes 27th. He was a lap down fairly early and wasn’t a factor at all.
